A Case of Juvenile Xanthogranuloma

Abstract
|
|
|
Juvenile Xanthogranuloma is granulomatous, benign disseminated Xanthomatous disease, which is histiocytosis of unknown origin, due to lipid metabolism disturbance.
Spontaneous remission is possible authors have reported some cases of JXG involving only skin or combined with extracutaneous lesions.
In our country, 2 cases of JXG involving only skin have been reported.
This I-year-old normal delivered healthy male baby has yellowish brown colored pinhead to rice sized papules of well defined.
round, dome shaped smooth surface in face, trunk, lower abdomen without any subjective symptomes.
Serum lipid level is normal and chest p-A, urinalysis, CBC, L.F.T. are normal. Family history shows nonspecific finding and physical examination shows nothing remarkable except for skin lesions.
Histopathologica.11y, histiocyte, lymphocyte, eosinophile, foam cell, foreign body giant cell, typical Touton giant cell are seen.
